Storytelling workshop was actually pre-activity before we had storytelling festival for this year. It was a chance for the students who wanted to join the event to gain new skills from volunteering teachers. We spent one week for the workshop. Every lunch time in the library one teacher demonstrated their ability in telling stories to the students. It was a good respond from the kids. There were more than 20 students sat and listened to the story every day. The students can also learned different styles of telling stories from different teachers. There were 6 teachers involved in this activity. Mr. Yudi from PYP 4 shared his skills in telling story with gestures. Ms. Angela was different, she shared the ideas of using props for telling the story. Ms. Chan taught the student how to get the excitement in reading aloud. Ms. Merry and Ms. Sarah shared how to read stories with different voice and Ms. Evi taught the students how to make the story more funny and enjoyable for the audience.
